The Sound Of Silence
The Sound Of Silence
The sound of silence means the inability of people to communicate with each other. It means a meaningful silence. Silence is usually defined as an absence of sound, and sound is defined as how we perceive pressure waves propagating in the medium next to our ears – usually air. Meditation is a great way to find and realise more about inner sound which is always there within us. When there are no external sounds, as long as we are alive, we can hear the sounds of our own body: our own heartbeats, our breath, the flow of blood through our arteries near our ears. This is one kind of sound of silence. Self is e
ternal and silence is the sound of eternal.
In 1966 Simon and Garfunkel hits "The Sound of Silence" has left an indelible mark on pop culture. The perspective of a person who dreams of a more spiritually conscious world, and the lyrics of the sound of silence paint a disturbing picture of a society wrought with materialism and self-absorption. Here in this lyric gives a way of life to live, desires to encourage people to find meaning in their lives beyond commercial culture, but no one will listen, except for the darkness he awakens to after dreaming of a chance to address them.
