The Smart Beaver

Once there was a forest named Freeville. It had many trees and a river too passed through it. Many animals, birds, fishes lived there. Many beavers lived in the forest as well.

 Now it so happened that all the animals began to fall sick. They approached the fox, who was the doctor of the jungle.

The fox said that he could not find out the exact cause of the disease. However, he could tell a remedy. If each animal slept with a beaver's tail, then they would be cured.

All the animals began to hunt for beavers. Many were killed for their tail.

One day a small, but smart beaver was being chased for her tail. She cut off her tail herself and threw it, and ran away. Thus she saved her life.

 The moral of this story is that there is always a solution to a problem. We should not lose our minds and find out a solution to the problem.
