The Small Time Machine

Once, not so long back lived a boy. He was named Tanamay. Everybody use to call him Tany. He was truly very playful and honest. He loved to play soccer with his friends. His dream was to become a great soccer player.

         One Sunday morning as usual Tany and his friends were playing soccer in the playground. Then Tany kicked the ball in such a way that it landed inside the old broken house, which nobody used to live in with a crash on the window. Tany said to his friends “Oops! I shouldn’t have done that right”? One of his friends spoke up “Tany why don’t you go and get the ball? As you were the one who got it there” each of his friends replied ‘yes! He is right.’ That forced Tany to get the ball. He ran towards the house, and slipped through the gates. He slowly climbed the staircase you can say tip-toed on those stairs. He couldn’t find the room which had the soccer ball inside it as there were many rooms. He felt like he was trapped in a maze.

Finally after checking 20 rooms upstairs and downstairs on the 21^st room there was the ball with broken glass pieces around it, he felt like stepping on something. He took a look under his shoe and found a golden and black watch. We took it in his hand, looked at it wondering what was it meant to be first he thought it might be left by owner of the house or maybe a witch had drop it then he heard something. “Hey! Tany! Tany! are you in there were waiting come quick!” Then he peeped into the window and saw his friends and said “yes! I’m coming. I found the ball at last”! He quickly wore the watch and rushed down with the ball. He was quite honest and told his friends about the watch even they didn’t know what it was.

So, they all went home after they finished the match that they were playing. On his way back home still curious about the watch. He reached home and told his family too, but they did not know it either. The next day was his school he wore that watch to his school to figure it but about the mysterious looking watch. The first period was Math. The class was studying about Zero’s and ARYA BHATTA. He was in deep thought he finally said to himself “I wish I could see how Arya Bhatta used to teach as soon as he said that from his classroom he magically appeared in a dusty old looking classroom. He saw a man teaching his students immensely. We recognized it was ARYA BHATTA! Teaching his students. After he saw the methods to improve his Math and wished to go back to his class. All of a sudden he magically appeared in the class it was History period and he knew what the watch was meant for.

It was a small time machine! The class was learning about stone age. He wished to go there and boom! there he was. He saw all the things about now they used to make fire, hunt, cook food etc. He though to teach them somethings like he gave them a notebook and a pencil and thought them. They said ‘thank you’ to him as he had thought them and off he went to his class. It was breaktime as he had missed so many periods. He ate and told his friends about his journey. They did not believe him at all but after all it was true after a few activity periods. The school was dismissed he happily went to his house after school as he was walking some bullies came in front of him suddenly said “Hey Kid! Give us that watch as we heard it is a time machine” One of the boys said rudely. He quickly ran away from there because he knew it would only lead to trouble he ran as fast he could, he went home to catch his breath, he panted heavily and at last when he stopped panting he told everyone at his house about that they didn’t believe the time machine part but only the bully one they said they would complain.

         Tany had a big journey or a strange experience. The bullies were punished and Tany made a decision to throw away the time machine as he thought it might get into bad hands and cause a very big problem. He also didn’t go to the old house either.
