The Race

The Race

"Wait for me!!", calls out the slowest runner. The fastest runner replies, "If I wait it will make you even slower. Try to catch up!". The medium-paced runner looks at both and just gives a smile and thinks I can't either run fast when I have the stamina or run slow when I am tired.

We all look at this race all day long and are part of the race indirectly. We try to keep pace with it. Some of us run beside the fastest runner, Some of us beside the slowest. Most of us are happy to go hand in hand with the medium paced runner. We are so addicted to the race, running along with different runners, challenging them, mocking them, laughing at them. And sometimes just tired we stand and let them go past us. We are so deep that we forgot who actually started the race. The three runners or us!

The three runners look at us every day and laugh, telling each other the hard truth "they created us and now they are not able to pace up with us". We called the fastest runner as second hand, the slowest runner as the hour hand, and the medium runner as the minute hand. The beautiful race was given the name TIME.

Nobody knows who called the count down for the race. We just know we run along with it all day.
