THE OLD MAGICAL LAMP

Once upon a time, there lived a farmer named Anand in a village which was situated on the bank of a holy river. He worked very hard and dreamt that his child should study in a good school, so that he may not face the same difficulties he faced. He was a kind-hearted man, even though he didn't have enough money he helped everyone in the village with his good deeds. But he was very worried about his child's future. One day he saw his wife in his dream where she guided him to a place near the bank of the river. He thought that it was simply a dream but he was also worried about his child so he thought of once visiting that place. So he went there next early morning and started digging at that place.

While digging his spade hits on a metal surface, he immediately takes it out. But it was not something for which he would celebrate, it was simply a lamp but made up of gold. He thought in his mind that something is better than nothing, so he thought of selling and getting some money on behalf of it. So he started cleaning it with his dhoti, but suddenly smoke started coming out of the lamp, and which transformed into a jinn. He was afraid and shocked to see that. The jinn said "don't get afraid of me my Lord, I'm here to help you. I will fulfil your three wishes". After that the farmer calmed down and thought of his three wishes.

His first wish was that his child should study in a good school. The second was that there should be a good hospital in his village and third was that this year there had been no rain so he wished that there should be enough rain so that their crops can grow well. Jinn fulfilled all his wishes and disappeared with the lamp.

After that the farmer lived happily and everyday thanked God for his blessings on him.
