There was an old scientist named Doctor Ganesha who loved to help people. One late summer evening, he made a discovery by accident. He found a way to turn anything into gold! What had happened was that the electricity went off and his torch was not working. Using a few materials lying here and there like copper wire used batteries, he made a new type of battery. By mistake, he left the torch in the "on" mode and went to bed. It lay on his desk shining on a pen stand. The next day he found that the pen stand had turned into pure gold! Over the next few days, he turned on other objects. He found that those objects turned into gold if the light showed on them for half a day. Doctor Ganesha was thrilled and overwhelmed. He thought about all the good such an invention could do good for humanity. He decided to help people as much as he could.

One day when he went for a morning walk, he came across a woman sitting on the steps of her home crying. Doctor Ganesha asked her the reason. He asked her, " MY Dear Lady! Why are you sobbing? Sniffing, the woman looked up at him. It has been six months since I lost my job. I can no longer pay for my daughter's school uniform and books. The Doctor decided to help her with some gold he had. The lady was very happy as she can pay the school dues. But the doctor said that she has to find some work and earn money.

As time went by, the doctor started selling little gold and helping poor people in need. He decided to help poor children gain education and get the benefit of a good standard of living. Poor people in his area started gaining his help. He always maintained a low profile and never disclosed the Magical Torch details as it may go to the wrong hands for commercial purposes.

Years went by, Decades went by! Many poor children became good students and some became good doctors beneficial for the society. His help and service to the society did not get unnoticed by the government of the land. The government felicitated with the People's award for serving the poor and needy.

Moral of the story: Use the resources properly and help the needy.
