The lullaby

 Bunter had just fallen asleep. He was dreaming of a beautiful garden with flowers, birds and butterflies. He suddenly heard a gentle voice singing:

Let me lay a silken spread,

Let me lay your little bed;

Honey, sleep a little while,

Lest the fairies steal your smile!

 Bunter , smiled in his sleep for he realised it was his mother singing him to sleep. In his dream, she was a beautiful fairy! She wore a glittering blue gown and silvery wings. The garden was full of light. "Wake up, Bunter," said someone, shaking him. "It's time" Bunter woke up, startled, and looked around. He was in a dormitory with five other boys! He had been sent to boarding school and this was his first day. He was looking forward to all being the fun in class and being with his friends. But at night, he did miss his mum and the lullaby she sang.
