The Journey Of The Universe
The Journey Of The Universe
One day Mrs. Ruchi told her students. Today we are going to learn about the universe. The students asked what is universe, How it is made, Where do we live and they asked many more questions like this. Mrs. Ruchi said don’t worry I will tell you all about the universe one by one but first I want to show you one surprise. The students said what a surprise ma’am. The surprise is that in our school there is a magical spaceship. We will go in that magical spaceship into space. Then it will be easy for you to learn about the universe. So let’s go. The spaceship is going at a very fast speed into space. Students see we are going at 40,000 km per hour because a spaceship needs 40,000 KM per hour to act against the escape velocity of the Earth. All of them reached space. Mrs. Ruchi said see the space is very beautiful. Yes ma’am. So let’s start today’s session. So let’s first learn about the Sun. Sun is a very hot ball of gases. If there will be no Sun then there will be no life on Earth. Sun is made up of 71% of hydrogen 28% of helium 1.5% of oxygen and nitrogen and 0.5% of other gases in smaller quantities like- Magnesium, Iron, etc. It has 6 layers. The 6 layers are divided into 2 parts inner layers and outer layers. The inner layers start with the core the radiative zone and finally the convective zone.
The outer layers start with the chromospheres then the photosphere then Corona. Mrs. Ruchi said to the students now we will learn about meteorites and asteroids. rocks roaming here and there in the space that when they crash to any object, they can cause a large amount of destruction. These are called asteroids. Small rocks roaming in space are called meteoroids. When they are entering the Earth they are called meteors and when they reach the surface of the Earth then they are called meteorites. One student said to Mrs. Ruchi, ma’am one asteroid is coming towards our spaceship. It can damage our spaceship. Ms. Ruchi said it can’t damage our spaceship because it is magical. Ok, ma’am. Now I will tell you about our home planet The Earth. Earth has formed about 4.67 billion years ago. In the starting when Earth was forming, it was very hot. Everywhere volcanoes were exploding. After some time a planet from another solar system which name was Thea crashed with Earth. When it crashed with Earth then a part of the Earth separated and then our moon was formed.
Then after some time rain started on the Earth after that only life started on Earth. Students do you know that there are 8 planets in our solar system. We can learn all the planets in our solar system in order by learning this acronym. My very educated mother just served us noodles. My m stands for Mercury. Very v stands for Venus. Educated e stands for Earth. Mother m stands for Mars. Just j stands for Jupiter. Served s stands for Saturn. Us u stands for Uranus and Noodles n stands for Neptune.
Now let’s go farther in the space. Now they all reached to Andromeda galaxy. Students see now we have reached to Andromeda galaxy. It will collapse with our galaxy Milky Way but this event will happen after million and million years after. So now I will tell you the last thing of the universe lesson. It’s about the Big Bang theory. So this theory tells how our universe was formed. So approximately 13.8 billion years ago there was very small energy that explodes. The explosion was very massive and because of this explosion, our universe was formed. Then every component of the universe was formed. Do you know children till now the big bang is going on? The students said what this is impossible. No students actually when the big bang occurred it started expanding and now also it is expanding. It was proved by a scientist whose name was Edwin Hubble that the universe is expanding. He said that always stars and other heavenly bodies go farther than the real distance from the Earth that means the universe is expanding. You can also test this thing by an experiment. Take a balloon, draw some dots around it and then blow air into it. You will observe that the more you are blowing air into it, the stars are going farther. So children now our lesson is over so now we have to go back to the Earth. Ok ma’am it was an amazing lesson and an amazing journey. Then Mrs. Ruchi and the students went back to the Earth.
