The Journey of a Seed

The Journey of a Seed

This is a story of a small seed of coriander which was sleeping in a jar, along with his siblings and peer, placed on a rack in my kitchen near to my window. This was a small seed probably it got separated from his mother branch a bit early and finally reached to my kitchen. This seed had the urge to go back to his actual place and from here he can start his actual journey. Near to my kitchen window there is a balcony and there were plants of rose, bougainvillea, tulsi and few other non-flowering plants planted in earthen pots.

Somehow this seed got the chance to the reach to start his voyage from my kitchen window into the pot of the rose plant. I noticed one small coriander seed while watering the plants and resting on the bed of soil. This was a usual event as we get so busy in our daily life that we overlook such incidents.

But for that seed, this was the starting point for his actual destination. It was spring season hence favouring him. The cycle started for that seed to imbibe the water, air, and sunlight to complete his identity and transforming himself to a sapling. I was witnessing this journey of a small seed to a sapling and one day this will be a plant.

I was wondering about Mother Nature's blessings bestowed on a seed since every seed has a baby plant in it and under favourable conditions, this will shoot as a plant or tree. The seed identity ends up with sapling which further grows to a plant and again starts with a new identity in the form of new seeds on that Plant.
