The Greedy Farmer

Once there was a very greedy farmer. When someone came to buy his fruits and vegetables he used to take the money first and then called his bull to chase them away. This way he would get the money without selling his crops.

One day the bull saw the red tomatoes and got angry and smashed all of them. Then slowly –slowly the other crops started drying and a few of them were left. Then a famine came, when people used to come they would see the crops and go away because he only had bananas and potatoes which were over riped.

His business was going down and he was in a loss . The farmer became very sad. When the famine was over an old man came and said “ don’t be sad my child grows your crops again and don’t be greedy this time “ but the farmer ignored him and said “ what nonsense are you talking” and grew his crops again and repeated the same thing. Then people stopped going to his farm then he became sad again.

The same old man came again and said “do not be greedy” so the farmer thought let me try it or the man would come and trouble me again. He tried not to be greedy, and grew is crops again and soon his crops were grown and the farmer became rich. He gave some money to the old man and said “thank you for helping me “and lived happily ever after. 

The moral of the story is - do not be greedy.
