The Forest Girls

Deep Inside the forest, lived three girls. Their names were – Riya, Risha, and Prisha. They lived together like sisters. They also had some responsibilities. Riya had to collect fruits, vegetables, and water. Risha used to guard the house and made medicines. Prisha used to make clothes.

 

It was a normal day as their life in the forest was going happily. When suddenly they heard a very fearful and loud voice. Was it a Lion or a Monkey or an Elephant? No, it was neither of them. It was a Bear. It didn’t look like it was from this forest. But since he was right there, the three girls had to do something. So they called the animals for help by whistling. In a moment, all the animals came to help.

 

“This forest belongs to me. If you want to save your lives, leave the forest right now” said the Bear in an angry voice. “The forest doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to all the animals, big or small, young or old, weak or strong” said Prisha. “Ha Ha Ha. I will leave the forest if you defeat me in fighting” said the Bear. “We are ready, C’mon friends, let's attack him,” said Risha and Riya together. So they started attacking the Bear.

 

Two dears took a rope and tied Bear’s legs. The ants started biting all over his body. The girls started plucking rotten fruits and started throwing them on him. Elephant took some water in the trunk from a river nearby and splashed water on him. The squirrel threw some small stones on him. This went on for a few minutes.

 

The Bear got so tired that he fell down, badly injured. He said, “Oh animals and you three girls! I am sorry. I have realized my mistake. Please forgive me and I also want to become part of your family”.

 

Yes, the Bear became part of the family and also the girls helped the Bear to cure the injuries. The Bear stayed happily with the girls. They had a happy and peaceful life.
