The Delicious Recipe

Once, in a village, there lived a couple, Mohan and his wife, Lakshmi. One day, there was a knock on their door. When Mohan's wife, Lakshmi, opened the door, she saw a man standing outside. The stranger said, "I am very sorry to disturb you but I am a traveller and I am lost. Please let me in." Lakshmi and his husband disagreed to let the man come inside. Mohan said, "We can't let you come inside as there is no food."The traveller was disappointed but agreed. "Fine, but will you atleast let me come inside and lend me a pot?." Mohan's wife whispered to her husband, "There is no harm in letting him come inside and lending him a pot". "Okay. You may come inside," said Mohan to the traveller. After the traveller came inside, Mohan's wife led him to the kitchen. The traveller had a small stone with him which he dropped in the boiling water of the pot. Suddenly, a delicious aroma spread in the whole house. Mohan and his wife were so hungry that they quickly entered the kitchen to see the source of the smell. They politely asked the traveller to share his food with them and he agreed. After some time, he tasted the soup and said, "Ah, it's delicious. Only if I had some onion with me to add to this soup".

Lakshmi quickly replied, "Don't worry. I have some onion here". She gave some pieces of onion to the traveller which were added to the soup. "Now, I will taste it again", said the traveller. "Yes please. Do it a bit faster", replied Mohan. After tasting the soup again, the traveller said, "Only if I had some spinach". Lakshmi quickly added "Don't worry. I have some spinach here. Saying this, she gave some pieces of spinach to the traveller which were added to the concoction. By now, everyone was quite famished. After tasting the soup for the third time, the traveller remarked, "Only if I had some salt and quite a few spices". Lakshmi quickly replied, "Don't worry. I have some salt and spices here". Saying this, she gave some salt and spices to the traveller which were then added to the soup. After tasting the soup for the fourth time, "Ah, at last, the soup is ready". The soup was then served in three bowls. Indeed, the soup was fabulous. In fact, it was so tasty that the couple thanked the traveller again and again and invited him to stay at their place for a few days.
