Once upon a time in a small village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a young boy named Theo. Theo was known for his sharp mind, quick thinking, and curiosity that often led him to find clever solutions to problems others couldn’t solve.

One day, a great challenge was brought to the village. The king had announced that anyone who could solve his riddle would be rewarded with a bag of gold coins. The riddle was said to be so tricky that no one had ever managed to answer it correctly. People traveled from far and wide, but no one could crack it.

The riddle went like this:

"I have cities but no houses. I have forests but no trees. I have rivers but no water. What am I?"

Many tried to answer, but all failed. The villagers grew disheartened, and even the wisest elders were stumped. That’s when Theo, who had been quietly listening, stepped forward.

With a bright smile, he said, “A map.”

The king raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. “A map?” he asked.

Theo nodded confidently. “Yes, Your Majesty. A map has cities but no houses, forests but no trees, and rivers but no water.”

The king was impressed. “You’re absolutely right! You have solved the riddle.”

The villagers cheered, and the king handed Theo the promised bag of gold. But Theo, always humble, turned to the king and said, “Thank you, Your Majesty. But the real treasure is the knowledge we gain when we think outside the box and help each other.”

From that day on, Theo’s wisdom was celebrated, and the village flourished. People came from all over to seek his advice, and he shared his clever solutions with everyone. The clever boy had not only won the king’s reward, but also the respect and admiration of all.

And so, Theo’s cleverness didn’t just bring him wealth—it brought knowledge, friendship, and a reminder that sometimes, the simplest answers are the best.
