Good Morning Friends. Jai Shri Krishna. Hari Bol. Hare Ram. Hari Om. Naryana Naryana Hare Hare. How Are you this is auspicious period of Dhanurmas? Why one should do meditation or sadhana these days?.

In Hindu mythology, it is claimed this is an excellent time if one wants to do meditation or sadhana. This is an auspicious time & period of Dhanurmas & it's supposed to be the favorable time to do sadhana & meditation. Ideally, it's better if one can do these meditation two times once early morning & in the evenings. Depends upon one's suitability & timings. Dhanurmasa is the darkest month of the year. It starts in mid-December & ends with Sankranti ,usually on 14 January every year. it is affirmed Shravan is the month of contentment, Dhanurmasa is the month of lassitude languor, boredom, and negativity. Indolence, accidents, misapprehensions & unnecessary confrontations are common in these times. Energy is intrinsically low during this month. This is also called the shunya masa or the zero month. A month when no crucial decisions are taken, no new initiatives or no new projects are started. If we go by history bheeshma pitamaha in Mahabharata even postponed his death until this month was over. Usually, people wake up before sunrise and do their regular Puja & sadhana. The only way to stay away from the negativity is to keep up with sadhana. maintain silence. Like the Shravan is the month dedicated to God Shiva, Dhanurmasa is dedicated to God Vishnu or Narayana, the God of Prana. Chanting "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" is very much recommended in this time. Vishnu Sahasranama was given to bheeshma pitamaha during this period. It is asserted that: Sadhana during Shravana month brings contentment  Sadhana during Karthika month brings prosperity. But Sadhana during Dhanurmasa brings Siddhis.I strongly recommend pl invest your time & effort where you can take these deeds to your next birth. Think about IT???.
