Story at Bed Time

Bindia was a small girl. She had seen her mother Bindu working hard as a teacher and also attending household chores. Bindu had part-time help only for dishwashing. The rest of the work from cleaning, washing, cooking, and ironing was done by her only. Her father was on a touring job and brother sisters were very younger to her.

 

She wanted to have her mother's company but she was too busy attending so many chores. At the bedtime, she wanted to listen to a bedtime story from her mother but mother used to be so tired that she could not complete a proper story and started repeating the same line in an incomprehensible manner and even after repeated asking and questioning of what happened next she murmured a word or two and dosed of.

  

Bindia just had to be silently craving for her over-busy mother's company, caresses and half narrated stories to be completed. But life went on and Bindiya also grew up to be a busy woman like her mother but she decided to share with her children at least some stories at bedtime not only for the company but also for inculcating some values in them
