Colleges were closed for 21 days to restrict the spreading COVID-19. Ayush was getting bored at his house.

Just then his mother came and told him that his best friend Vaibhav had come back from London.

Ayush picked up the mobile and called Vaibhav.

“Vaibhav! Hi! So glad you are back. Come to my house quickly and let’s do the assignment together!” he said, excited.

Hi, Ayush! How are you? I can’t come and do the assignment together with you. My family and I have been asked to stay at the house in quarantine. We all can’t go out of the house for 2 weeks. Though we are all well, we don’t want anyone to come near us as he and his mother could be carriers of the virus. After 2 weeks, I am allowed to come and meet you,’’ Vaibhav explained.

I have missed a lot of college work due to the COVID-19 lockdown. I called Ashutosh to ask for his book, but he refused. His mother told him not to touch me as I’ve just come from abroad. She said that anyone who comes in touch with me could get this disease. What do I do now?” said Vaibhav sadly.

“Don’t worry! I’ll give you my book. I’ll keep it outside your door and once you’re done, you can keep it outside, and I will come and collect it after 23 times. We all should take safety steps, but that does not mean I should stop being your friend. It is said that the virus does not survive on a surface for more than 23 times so I’ll take my book from you after a day. You’ll get your notes and I won’t have any chance of getting this disease,” said Ayush, cheerfully.

“You are really my best friend,” said Vaibhav, with tears and his voice shaking over the mobile.

“In this time of need, we should extend all the help we can to each other. That’s all I’m doing,” said Ayush and kept his book outside Vaibhav’s house and came back.
