Mister Tad's Miracle
Mister Tad's Miracle
In the happy kingdom of Stoutland, lived the King Ruward. He was very greedy and selfish and would not help people, instead put them in prison. He would destroy people’s houses. King Ruward would force the farmers to pay a lot of taxes and money. The king would even make them starve and eat their food or throw it. The people had to suffer each day. So the people were very sad and wanted to change the king. They had several meetings and discussions each day and tried to come up with many ideas. But sadly nothing worked. One day Mister Tad, a man came to the kingdom. His figure was strange all about. He was a fat, tall man but funny and humorous. His expressions and miracles would make sad kids happy. Mister Tad asked what had happened and offered help. The villagers listened to this all and were happy when they thought that maybe this man could erase all our troubles, sorrows and problems. So they told Mister Tad about their problem, he understood them well and thought hard.
He went to the king the next morning and told about the problems. The king refused to believe and furiously said - “Hey man, how dare you tell like this. The people of the village are good enough.” Tad said - “Really do you think? Ok then go one day at night dressed in disguise as a common man and see what they are doing. “ The king did the same and when he passed the houses, he was in utter shock. Children were crying because of food, the men and women were falling sick and dying. He couldn’t believe what he saw. Next morning, a strange thing happened. There were enemies attacking the kingdom. He was very scared. But suddenly he saw the poor children and the people protesting - ‘Don’t harm the king. He is ours.” He was surprised to hear this and finally realized his mistake. He apologized to the people for his bad sins and called them to his kingdom. The king ordered the ministers to make a grand lunch and dinner for the people. The people insisted that the king should call Mister Tad because he was the one who did a miracle and saved them. The people had a great feast. After lunch, Mister Tad said - “the food was great.” I loved it.
