Marshall's Powers

Once upon a time, a man called Marshall lived on the borders of Busy city. Every day, Marshall used to toil hard and maintain his house neatly. One day, Marshall went to the market place to buy some fruits. A clumsy witch there accidentally poured magic powder on Marshall. Immediately Marshall got magic powers! Marshall was extremely happy. He went home and used his powers to get things done. Marshall soon became very lazy. He became so lazy that the citizens of Busy city sent him away. Marshall used his magic powers to build a new home and lived there like a lazy king. One day, a blue fairy came to his house to ask for shelter and food for the night. Marshall was watching T.V and rudely told her to go away and to not disturb him. The angry blue fairy cursed him saying "Your powers will only help you when you help someone else. Otherwise your powers are useless!"Arrogant Marshall paid not the slighest notice to the fairy's words. He continued watching T.V.

That night, Marshall asked his toothbrush to brush his teeth. But try as he may, his toothbrush would not budge! So arrogant Marshall had to go without brushing his teeth. In the morning, how he stank! He ordered his vessels to make breakfast, but he might as well have spoken to a wall. No matter how many times he ordered his household objects to serve him, they just wouldn't! One day, his neighbour in Busy city pounded on his door. When Marshall asked him why he said that his son had gotten his hand stuck in a burrow just outside Marshall's house. Immediately Marshall ran and tried to pull the kid out. He couldn't do so. He decided to give a try by using his magic powers, and surprisingly, it worked! The boy and his father thanked him and welcomed him back to Busy city. And Marshall used his powers wisely and well.
