Locked Down

She stared at the sky through the tiny window of the dungeon, she turned and glanced at the dusty, muddy and discolored walls, she swallowed water from the stained and dirty pipkin placed in the corner of the small prison which was her home for the last 1 month.. 

She kept looking at the blue sky and the white clouds floating across. She rushed to the guard standing outside her cell and asked him with hope in her voice, "Did you get an answer, is the verdict out?".. 

She waited till the darkness took over her window and her room was painted black, the guard served her dinner plate with a morsel of rice, lentil soup, and some onion. He pushed the plate and shouted out loud for her to listen "you have to stay here for another 2 weeks before they decide to set you free, are you listening?" 

She felt the walls collapsing and crushing her from all 4 sides, she screamed inside her mind.. I am free from my first breath..
