Life Of A Plastic Bag
Life Of A Plastic Bag
Plastic is one of the important inventions made by man. It is light, strong, durable. But the main thing is that it is nearly indestructible and we just don't care about. I would like to share my fictional autobiography of a plastic bag.
I was made in a factory where many workers were working. The peculiar smell of grease and the noise of machines was everywhere. They took me to the packing area where I was sealed in a bag waiting to be transported. Days went by. I was opened; the fruit vendor took me out of the bag and handed it to a lady who was buying the fruits from the vendor. I felt weight in my body, I felt like that it was tearing me apart. With all my mighty force I stood up and withstand the force. The lady reached her home; took the fruits out and kept me in the drawer.
The next morning she took me out of the drawer and threw me with the garbage. The garbage van came and picked me up. But for mother nature, it was not the case for me. Wind blew and took me with him, to the vast open sea. I travelled hundred of miles off coast visiting different countries and shoals of fishes. One fine day I was passing by a shoal of fish peacefully but I was disturbed by a whale. The whale ate me. I was enraged and thought that the whale has no more right to live. I chocked him to death. Days went by when a passing ship towed the body of the whale to the beach. They said that the whale had died due to choking. They took me out of the throat and took me to the dumping ground.
Years went by. I was still in the same hole. Outside the world had BANNED PLASTIC. I was sentenced to death the next morning. The world is now using my counterparts, cloth bags.
