Is Our Future Happy Or Sad?

My friend Keerthi is my school mate. We both were besties. It was on January 1st. I bought a gift to Keerthi expecting something great from her. But, what I heard from her was sad. She insisted that this will be the last year we will be celebrating the New Year. The life span of the earth is just 2500 years. I screamed and laughed aloud at that moment. But she said was true as I saw what she said in news channels, newspapers and magazines for 3 days. I promised her that I will make this wrong.

I said this news to all my colony friends. They said that they knew this news before. I asked them what they were doing when they were about to die in about a year. They said they were enjoying their life in this last year. One of my friends said that she was fulfilling all of her dreams which she wanted to do after she grew older. I felt very bad about their thoughts and scolded them. They felt ashamed. I said to them about my plan and they all accepted to that. We all together posted on social media about what will happen if there won't be even a drop of water to drink. I asked in the social media to forward this message to everyone as others will also know about it. There was an immediate response from social media.

In about 4 or 5 months there was a great change in the whole world. I and my friends along with the whole world expanded the life span of earth. At that moment our happiness reached the peaks.

In the story above few students saved the water and also saved the earth. But the same condition is with us. Did we try at least once to save the life span of the earth? If one or two persons work hard to save the earth that is not enough. All of us together will save the earth and be happy like the friends in the story.
