How Did India Get Its Freedom?

As you know we celebrate our Independence day on 15 August from British Raj.

So I am going to tell you how India got its Independence from British Raj -

The second world war came to an end in 2nd of September 1945, after United States of America dropped atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki . The Lord Mountbatten was the new viceroy of India. He presented a plan of division of India and Pakistan. Gandhiji and others did not approve of this plan. But they had to accept it due to wide spread riots in different parts of country. Pakistan got its Independence on 14 Aug 1947. Mohammad Ali Jinnah became the leader of Pakistan, then the Governor - General of Pakistan. Pakistan was divided into two parts-West Pakistan and East Pakistan. India got its Independence on 15 Aug 1947. India became republic with its own government. Rajendra Prasad became the First president of India and Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of India.
