Eternal Beauty: Reflections On The Moon

Eternal Beauty: Reflections On The Moon

It gives me immense pleasure to sit in the porch and watch the shimmering moon, the Queen of Night. The phases of life flash out through your glow. Your evergreen, changeless, glorious beauty astounds me.

Why I say so. The first phase goes like this

The same moon we have seen when we were introduced into this world. The lullaby of chandamama.

The child looks at you and call you down to play with him/her. Your soothing and pleasing appearance amidst the starry night makes the weeping child giggle.

From the beginning you remained as chandamama.

From the first to second phase

When we grew up you never left us. Looking at your silvery light spreading across make us wonder stuck at your selfless service of providing light to this world.

We played under this glowing shade of yours. Sometimes the cloud being jealous at our happiness covers you and encircle with gloom, just to make us realise that life is not always rosy it has thorns as well.

But you are blessed with happiness throughout your existence. A blessing from God for your selfless service. (still the same chandamama)

Third phase the staring phase

Staring at you for hours forgetting the self though it can’t be expressed in words but felt. Enjoying your beauty, eyewitness for lovers in the world. Sitting for hours together. The feel of 1 hour passing like 5 minutes.

“There also changeless same full chandamama”

Fourth phase chasing in the world.

While taking over the responsibilities or becoming responsible. You follow like shadow stating that I am with you ever smiling to calm your mind. For couples you are a honeymoon. Enjoying at your reflections, the silhouette. As a short-term dreamer to escape from reality for erstwhile.

Fifth phase of course hitting the old age.

Becoming grandparents to knit stories by looking at you to their grandchildren.

Indeed, they think about their younger days.

Showing the difference of being young once and of being old.

Likewise, the phases of life go on. Every time we change but you still remain the same

Chandamama for everyone. You being eternal and we being inevitable.

Looking at you I feel like asking you a question “How is it possible for you to keep smiling amidst the chaos you witness “....

Gentle breeze caresses

I am overwhelmed with thoughts

The silvery mesmerising kisses

Spreads with flowery tale

A deep insight into life...
