A young little boy gets out of his bed and shouts "the World cup, the World cup is ours". His mother jerks him and says," Wake Up Viraj, get out of your dreams and come to the reality." The mother wakes little Viraj up, dresses him up and sends him for practice.

Little Viraj is very excited as it is Sunday morning and finally he can play cricket. "After much resistance!", exclaimed Viraj. Viraj suffers from Coats Disease that has taken away vision from his left eye."One in a crore suffers that disease, I am so unlucky", Viraj used to say. After tremendous fighting with his parents did they allow him to play cricket. The doctor had strictly advised against this. But Viraj's life is cricket. Cricket is oxygen to him. His cricket kit is his most prized possession. He wants to emulate the great Tendulkar. Ever Since he has began watching cricket, he wants to be like him. Everyday Viraj gives his 110% in his cricket. His coach is surprised by the talent the young boy possesses. He trains, runs, bats like a dream. It seems like he wants to win every moment, every single moment in the match, His coach sometimes jokes and says that if he gave even half his efforts in his studies, he would do well.

Viraj with his class and caliber became the member of his school's cricket team. He was soon elevated to be the captain. As a leader he was very vocal from a young age. He was always attacking and played to win. he loved to get under the skin of his opponents. His school was participating in an inter school tournament. The stakes were very high as the rivalry between the schools made the tournament very competitive. The winning school also had a chance to represent the district. Viraj, the aggressive winner wanted to win at all costs.

The tournament began well for them. They went into the tournament final unbeaten virtually without losing a game. In the final they were up against a very good team. The contest was hyped up by the locals. A lot was at stake The final threw a unprecedented challenge. The challenge was to chase a tricky total and Viraj team lost a couple of wickets. He came in at no 4. He was not given a generous welcome by the opposition. The first ball he faced hit him flush on the helmet. He felt dizzy and unsettled for a moment. He then gathered and composed himself for a moment. He remembered all the reasons about why he wanted to win this competition. He became very determined. What was to come was a very special innings from him. He played like a dream on a difficult track. He drove,cut, pulled as if he was in the form of his life. The people enjoyed it a lot, When he scored a century and won them the match his coach said," Make the Blue jersey your own someday son". Viraj thought," The Indian jersey with so many people cheering". He could feel goosebumps, he literally wanted to reach there. Dreams. Dreams to die for he thought.
