The Sun simmered red as it slunk towards the jagged horizon.

He does not have much of a choice. The Earth moves on a chosen path, blocking him out of sight for half the world. He feels obliged to lend light to whatever part of the Moon is visible from Planet Earth.

The drama of sunrise and sunset is being staged for several light years. Stories of his movement on a chariot pulled by seven horses have also been circulated. Would a horse ever be able to sustain the stress?

There are many who think that the Sun is angrier than before, and is threatening to burn the world. He thinks the denizens of Planet Earth love and worship him, as they systematically work at removing the barriers between the two. The Sun would soon embrace Earth, and change its state. That is what a true union means – melting of identities and purification with love.

But there is one more barrier to be crossed – the battle waged by a section of the population, who call themselves ‘environmentalists’. He needs to rest, to recuperate and work out a strategy to win the war.

Meanwhile, there is chaos on Planet Earth. The Sun has taken the day off. The world is enveloped with a haze – a heavy fog, which smells of deceit.
