Beauty
Beauty
"BEAUTY" we all use this word very frequently. What is the meaning of beauty? Is it Putting on makeup, having a good body, a place with great ambiance, or peaceful nature? The definition of "beauty" is an aesthetically pleasing characteristic of an object. I feel the meaning differs from person to person. Every individual is unique, and his thinking is also unique in his way.
Beauty has both subjective and objective parts.
Objective Beauty: In the view of Plato, and Aristotle beauty resides in the feature of an object defined by its characteristics; for example: If you are looking at artwork, its beauty is defined as right color balance, clean strokes, and symmetry etc.
Subjective beauty: according to Immanuel Kant the beauty is a feeling of an observer. For example, a sense of peace and happiness after watching a good artwork.
So, is beauty in the eye of the beholder? I think it's deep in the mind of an individual. I feel objective and subjective sides of beauty work together. For example, beautiful artwork with the right mixture of colors and symmetry brings a feeling of satisfaction to my mind.
I was talking in a philosophical sense above, now come to the real human world. A few years back, the zero figure was on-trend because physical appearance was the parameter of beautifulness. However, nowadays, parameters changed from physical aesthetics to beautiful minds. The question is, Why is there a change? Are humans evolving? Isn't we evolved decades back? It's because our thoughts get evolved with time, place, and culture.
However, the bottom line is, "Enjoy your definition of beauty without worry about society's approval."
Beauty is:
Being confident, being elegant with grace, Having a great body and skin Understanding that uniqueness among us makes each one beautiful."Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy." – Anne Frank
