Bambi's Friends

Thumper the rabbit had brought Bambi to say 'sleep well' to the squirrel, who was about to go to sleep for the winter "We'll wake up when the warm spring weather comes", they promised Bambi then. Thumper took him to see the hedgehogs who were about to curl up into the balls so that they could damp chilly days. Sleep well, sleep hedgehogs said Bambi. A tear trickled down Bambi's cheeks as he realised that he wouldn't be able to talk to the hedgehogs again for several months.

Even Bambi's friend Thumper said he would sleep for the coldest part of winter. Bambi ran to his mother and told her that all his friends seemed to be leaving him. Nonsense dear your Squirrel hedgehogs smiled and his mother your squirrel hedgehogs and rabbit friend will soon be back with

you and mean while there are some new friends waiting to meet you.

"New friends", asked Bambi. His mother took him to a part of the forest where seagulls were

gathering together. They have just flown her from the sea because it is growing too cold for them there said his mother. They will like to be your friend Bambi and their friends Bambi and they have and the seagulls weren't his only his friends. Because geese arrived in the forest, they had flown from a far country. It was not warm enough for them now and they had many stories to tell Bambi of

distant lands.

"You know mother," said Bambi one autumn evening, "I am a little deer to have warm weather friends and cold weather friends".
