A Trashman's Challenge...

Let's witness a garbage collector's importance in an area and his challenge with his daughter.

Every daughter is proud of their father irrespective of their age, personality, looks, or JOB.but my daughter is not.

I'm Moorthi, an uneducated common man, and I work as a garbage collector in my small area. My family is comprised of me, my wife Sakunthala, and my daughter Lakshmi. I wish to live a life like another common man, a happy family with lots of fun and love. But my life does not match even 10 percent with my dream, the situation makes not even my daughter and my wife come near me.

My day starts with foul smell, collecting all waste dumps garbage from everyone's house, walking and pushing that big garbage trunk all over the town, asking no literally begging for some tips from house owners and my day ends with foul smell.No one comes near me expect the stray dogs wanting for some biscuits, speak to me, they won't treat me as a normal person...It's really HURTING. Because I know how important I'm to this town, without me everyone's house must have been filled with waste dumps, and the house would smell like roasted vegetables. but no one realizes it.

Others behavior didn't bother me too much. but for my family's behavior..when every other girl in her school can proudly say about their father and their jobs, my daughter couldn't. The thing is my job is not respectable, my daughter does not respect me. she is ashamed of me and my job.

I love her so much, I want to have a relationship with her like every other daddy-daughter. but she always avoids me, hurts me by saying something unusual, makes me feel nothing. I know she really loves me a lot, but because of the job I do, she hates me.

One day I really got depressed and decided to talk to her. I said, " Lakshmi I want to speak to you". Without even turning she asked " what". I said stop behaving like this to me I'm your father.

She said, "I don't want to talk to you, I don't want you as my father, you the garbage collector, how can I accept you as my father.

I asked " so you think I'm useless right"?. I'll prove to you I'm one of the important people in this town, you see everyone will come in search of me.

Lakshmi " that's impossible". No one will search for you. Let's see how are you going to prove.

The next morning, as usual, the day was Lakshmi was getting ready for school, but Moorthi did not go to work. His wife Shakuntala asked you didn't go to work?

Moorthi said no for 10 days I'll not go to work. Shankuthala and Lakshmi had a light shock. but they didn't bother much..2 days passed everything went normal. after 2 days everyone in street started asking about Moorthi.

Where is the garbage collector? Why he didn't come for the past 2 days? What happened to him? Can we ask for another garbage collector to panchayat?

Another 2 days passed just like, people asking about Moorthi because everyone's home was filled with garbages. But after 4 to 5 days people really got angry and aggressive because Moorthi didn't arrive at the streets to collect their garbage, and all of their houses are filled with 5 days of garbage and it's really stinking.

People said this problem to panchayat, but they said they had no idea about Moorthi because he didn't inform anyone. so everyone decided to go to Moorthy's home and check for him.

The next day early morning, Lakshmi was busy getting ready for school, Shakuntala was cooking, and while Moorthi was sitting in and relaxing.. suddenly when Lakshmi came out to take something, she saw a group of members walking towards her home. within a second she ran inside and said "ma some people are coming towards our home" Shakuntala got panicked and went out and saw.. hearing this Moorthi smiled silently and came out.

After seeing Moorthi, they started asking questions and asked him to come. Lakshmi was in shock because just to call her father they came by walking soo much distance. Then Moorthy said some irrelevant answer to them and promised to come to work from tomorrow. After they went Lakshmi came running and hugged her father. Moorthi didn't talk anything, because he knew his daughter realized the truth herself.. and felt happy...

Every person is respectable... irrespective of anything!!!!!. For a clean society, a garbage collector is very important.

Respect them and owe them for what they are doing...
