A Merchant And His Donkey
A Merchant And His Donkey
One beautiful day, a merchant loaded bags of salt in his donkey to the market to sell the salt. During, that time they walked across the river. Unfortunately, donkey slipped into the river. When it gets up it noticed that there was no weight in bag, it had become lighter. So they both returned home.
Second time he loaded more number of bags of salts. As usual when the slippery river came the donkey slipped itself on to reduce the weight of the bag. It was also wasted. So by now merchant came to know the trick of donkey.
Third time the merchant loaded sponges in donkeys back. While they crossed the slippery river, the donkey cleverly slipped into the river. But instead of the load becoming lighter, it became heavier. The merchant laughed at the donkey and said "You foolish donkey I discovered your tricks. you can't fool others many times".
From this story, we came to the conclusion that we should not fool others. Because we are fooling not others we are fooling us.
