A Girl In The City

Ever wondered how it feels to be away from home? This very thought of not having your near and dear ones around you disturbed Ami endlessly around the clock. It was the first time that she was stepping out in this benevolent yet ruthless world. But with great fortitude and agitation, she decided to go ahead and accomplish all that she ever dreamt.

Unexplored city, unfamiliar places, untold stories, and unrevealed identities she had to twig all out.

Ami, there encountered and realized what home was and how blissful it was to be around family. She however persuaded herself that this is how it is supposed to be and that this is the only way she could live her life independently on her terms. This mere thought kept her going and it was not late that, despite having a satisfactory job, happy surroundings, and decent finances that struck Ami the need of having somebody around who would lend her an ear to hear and shoulder to lean on, basically a home away from home. She did anything and everything to experience it all, but friends, colleagues, and folks couldn’t lessen her state of restlessness.

Little did she know that it was all because there was something pertinent that she had left behind, which could never be substituted or replaced. Gradually, Ami believed in the sense of belonging towards the family. Thoughts of returning home stuck her mind and all she could see was her home, which had her heart.

But as they say, everything comes with a cost, and eventually, Ami realized that this was the cost she was paying to live her dreams and a life where it would all make sense in the end. And there she was, knowing that she had to stand strong and still.
