A Fairy Told A Tale

A Fairy Told A Tale

Once a fairy started telling a tale. Perhaps it was broadly agreed in history that Adam and Eve were the first male and female. They mated and produced offsprings. Soon there were many humans. The strongest among them ruled for some time. But soon someone became stronger and he was overthrown. His son thought mere strength was not enough to rule, I must have something more. He set out in search of the unknown. He searched for several days and nights and one day he took shelter in a cave. It was unusual and eerie and made of limestone and other minerals and was on top of a pool of magma. As he entered the cave he screamed in fright and the cave seemed to scream with him too. The gases inside made his headlight and he was seeing images that he had never seen before. He ran out and fell unconscious. When he woke up, he realized that he was intact and decided to explore the cave once again. This time he carried some seeds and dropped it along his path. This time again he screamed but not in fright but the cave seemed to repeat after him. He had also held his breath and covered his nose with some flowers and leaves and the gases did not affect him. But he thought the atmosphere continued to be eerie. As he walked out, he noticed the seeds were there in the place he had dropped. He thus overcame the fear of the cave and repeated his exploration. An idea formed in his mind. The first of the Gods was created by this man.

He went back to the group and said he found god. Men and women marched to the cave and by the time it was evening. He took them inside the eerie cave and the men and women fell down in awe and fear. Who would be the king he then asked? The cave repeated after him. He then called out his own name and said he would be the king. The cave repeated after him. By this time the men and women were weak with the gases and barely could trudge out of the cave and fell unconscious. In the morning they fell at his feet and declared he would be the king from then onwards. He impregnated many more women and produced a few off-springs. Genghis Khan followed suit many hundred years later. From the best of the lot, he selected the one who would succeed him and told the secret behind the cave. Thus, the first dynasty was born. Breed, feed, bleed, greed became their creed.

And they multiplied and expanded,

The world they populated.

kingdoms they established,

each other they conquered.

More gods they created,

with religion, they became afflicted.

Forests they destroyed.

Machines they created.

Weapons they made,

Bombs they dropped.

The world became threatened,

Yet were not satisfied.

Unlike the fairy tale where all ends well,

Sorrow was the human tale, as much you may dwell.
