I was born at Dehradun at Gokand farm where I was the youngest amongst the litter. My two brothers Mandu and Chetan and sisters Manvi and Chandi. They would always be having fun with me by pulling my ears and my tail. There was a hardworking yet kind and loving farmer named Akash. When our mother is out, he would take care of us and would feed his leftovers to us. We trusted him so did our mother but then something tragic happened our mother was back and was extremely worried we would ask her what happened but she would reply "Oh nothing, I am just tired that's all" but we knew she wasn't tired she was hiding something but what? then my brothers and sisters got to know "well know you know so tell me please?" "You'll be upset to hear this but Akash.. he...he...umm-" started Chetan "He passed away" said Manvi. I was in horror I couldn't believe it I raced up and down, threw myself to the ground and bit myself I was upset about this but that was not the worst of it. "our mom has also passed away due to over-worrying" said Mandu. I never stopped crying and tried shaking myself thinking " I a dreaming wake up! wake up! wake up!" "We are also parting away, we have to live alone"  I shed tears thinking how the loneliest I will be.

They said goodbye gave me licks and left to the big wide world. I also left the place and the whole place was just deserted "Good-bye Gokand, my home, saying these last words I left with tears still in my eyes and left for the big world. While I traveled I realized the people here are nothing like Akash (except a handful) the would throw rocks a me, even drive me away!. some had some milk kindness in them they pet me, feed me and would call me names like 'cute puppy' or 'Guddu' I never understood but I entertained the nice ones by showing m belly an letting them rub it but those were a very small handful. Then I met a dog who would always be lying down on a shade. I went up to him saying "hello!" he mumbled 'hello' back "why aren't you energetic like me?" I asked curiously "Dear pup I am very old if you haven't noticed and I have no energy remaining in my body" he said slowly "Oh can I be of any help to you sir?" he shook his head and spoke again "maybe you should go inside buildings and get adopted there" "Buildings?, Adopted? what does that mean?" I asked "I see you are a dog not from this city I will tell you" then he went off explaining buildings where they are homes for people and meaning of adopted and adoption means being taken and kept like a family member. "I see thank you sir I will follow your advice" and I went off the old dog mumured under his breath "Let me hope this pup doesn't get beaten or worse taken away by animal control" I went in a building and saw a depressed old man saying "I have no more use in life what should I do?" he said I went to him and sniffed him I realized he was all alone in he world just like me.

So I licked his hand to et his attention and it worked he saw me and said "My, my a cute little pupper at least I might not be all alone like I always said" he picked me up and put me in his lap and his anxiety is loneliness melted away and fell asleep I too fell asleep on his lap. Then at night I saw myself on a rough bed with a small lantern and in a metal sheet house. "Welcome home pupper" he said "I will give you a name, a name which will bring me and you luck I know a Javanese name 'Pitu' for the lucky number 'seven' I can't think of a better name than this. He the called me by this name and used to feed me his leftovers, like Akash and used t play with me and take me to walks. I will never forget that old dog who gave me a good advice but one day something twisted happened while I slept I saw someone moving in the night I barked waking the old man up and took me away "Pitu! no! you man come back here! don't take my Pitu! no!" and put me in a cage I kept barking trying to say "Save me master! please! help!" He ran saying "I will never lose hope finding you!" and he jumped nd held on to a handle and broke the door open with is bleeding hands and took me out the man wo took me said hey you! give that rabid animal back!" "As if you thieves!" and ran with the ma after him he shut the door and locked it and hid me under the and held the door shut.

He stood until the banging stopped then he heard this "Le me in I am with the government!" he opened it and I saw a ma with white beard, glasses, white kurta and orange vest and white pant "here is the person who stopped me from taking the animal from him!" "I see bring your animal Kunal" Kunal? was the name of the old man Kunal? I guess so, then h to me and showed to the other old man. "Why must you take Pitu away from me? he is me pet!" he shouted angrily "It is forbidden for poor people having pets" said the other old man "But I named him he came to me and then I took him home I did not take him so you cannot take him he wants to stay with me right Pitu?" I nodded "Alright you can keep him I guess we were wrong to take poor people's pet when the animal itself came to them we apologize" Kunal said" You may be forgiven but remember 'when the animal shows the love you cannot take it from them' " "we understand" the old man said and left then we both lived happily forever after.
