Woman of Then and Today

She had the eyes of innocence,

The face of an angel,

She has the eyes of ignorance,

A melodramatic face.

She had a personality of a dreamer and

a smile that hid more pain,

She has a personality of a conqueror

and a smile that can gain.

She was beautiful inside out,

Now looks horrifying makeup without.

She used to keep quiet,

Which used to be her sanskaar,

Now if she’s quiet,

Ye hai uska ahankaar.

Handling one man made her cry,

She handles 3/4 men and wants to fly.

Bold and brave she was,

Double minded and pity full applause.

She faced all her problems alone,

She needs a nodding head to hear

her stories upgrown.

Her broken pieces of heart was the reason for her short temper,

Today inspite of her attitude and ego she is pampered.

To stitch those broken pieces she was her own best friend,

Now there is no count Instagram and FaceBook has no end.

She was a little girl who was poor at hiding feelings,

Today it’s just media handling these dealings.

She was so pure prayed’ just don’t break my heart ‘,

Today in seconds they are just switching hearts.

Whole heartedly she used to cook,

Now she’s bothered only about her look.

Politeness and shame gave her fame,

Today it’s all a game!

Nothing seems real Today,

This Yo Yo wind is taking it all away.

Yet no relation is complete without a woman Today or Then,

She plays different roles ‘Loving Mom’,

’Caring Sister’, Understanding Wife’,

Lovable Daughter/Daughter in law’

Yet understood by none!
