Winter In Ladakh

Winter In Ladakh

1 min
204

As I recall the past days

Winter of Ladakh hunts me.

The pretty snowflakes

Dripping from the sky

On roofs of barrack

Soft and thick they lie.

The nacked leafless trees

Bathe and dress in an ice ball

Seem very nice as a pearl.

The brooks cease them

And stop to fall.

Beasts remain busy prey

And sleep beneath a bare bush

In silence hour of the night

Rarely do we hear their cry.

For weeks the land keeps

Far from

Sunrise and sunset.

It's the ripe time for brute

To sleep and rest.

The river, Indus overlaps

By snowfall

Glitters from far as

White shawl.
