WHEN I COULDN'T HIDE MY TEARS

WHEN I COULDN'T HIDE MY TEARS

When I was small,

And I used to fall,

My wounds would hurt

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

When I grew a little bigger,

And started making mistakes,

Those scolding I got from my parents

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

When I was in school,

And when I opened my lunch box,

My hunger was more than my food

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

As I stepped into my teens,

My emotions became more strong,

Anything sad I would see

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

That last day of my school,

Those cheerful days so cool,

When I had to leave behind

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

For my further studies,

In a college, I was enrolled,

Leaving behind my favourite

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

Got a job in the private sector,

Now came the time of marriage factor,

And had to leave behind my past memories

Then, I couldn't hide my tears.

These are the real diamonds,

Rolling down my eyes,

Whenever my heart aches with sadness and fear

Then, I know I can never hide my tears.
