My Mom Taught me

"Vruksho Rakshathi Rakshitaha"

Oh my dear Tree

You grew up with me

Never paid a deed on you

Still you bestowed love on me

Your shade gave me

The roof I needed in despair

The ground I needed to play

Your smile remained intact

Through hards and bests

Alas! never paid a deed back

Now I grew up and realize

I am never alone,

As you stood by me

With bloom in my gloom

With all due respect :

I pay you a deed back and proudly say :

"Vruksho rakshati raksitaha."
