Viva La Vida
Viva La Vida
There are times you break, there are times you fail,
There are times when the finishing line seems too far away,
But is life measured by the number of milestones you cross?
Or is the journey more important than the destination, as they say?
When you tried so hard but you did not succeed,
When the fight seemed so hard, you wanted to drop,
Rather be the tortoise who completed the race,
Rather be a comma, than a full-stop.
We're all but travelers in the voyage of life,
Some reach their destinations quickly, some take their time,
But it is not about who came first or who came last,
It is always about them who did not give in before they reached their prime.
Life may seem to be clouded full of despair,
And the winds of winter may not seem to pass by,
But remember that every cloud has a silver lining,
And in time the spring will come with a clear blue sky.
Life belongs to them who have the courage to continue,
And not give up when the going gets tough,
For a life without struggles is worth not living,
Life only bubbles when there is a crest and a trough.
