To My Town Of Love
To My Town Of Love
I just passed by
what I called my house
The lanes, the trees and roads
Kept dragging my heart.
The same old warmth
Pouring life in every breath
But the wind stopped to ask
How come here? And to where?
What would I answer..
For, there isn't left any home
None left at all, whom
I once called my own.
Here, look, this way’s to my school!
This’s where we parked our bicycles
Enjoyed punishments with besties
For giggles, whispers and breaking rules
Oh! No! No miracles!
I don't ask for a time shift
Just give me little pure air
Perfect just so I breathe
Yet, if you wish
Shower some blessings please
To my town of love
Where everything was at ease
Keep them all happy
As they seemed to these kiddy eyes
No money, nor power
Everything worked on hugs and smiles
O my town of love
Please do not disappear
The world lives on hopes
You do remember?
Do remember.
