To My Son

I sit and think about how much you mean to me.

If I could give you an award of hero, it would go to you, because without you, I would not be here writing this poem.

Son you were always there to pick me up.

You were always there to tell me thru the bad times.

Son, you are my guiding light that carries me thru the dark patches of life.

Son, you are my inspiration.

Son, I just want you to know I appreciate you and God could have never given me the greatest gift in the world and that is you.

Son, thank you for pulling me thru my addiction.

Thank for being there when all else fails.

Son, you are my hero.

I want you to know I will always be there for you.

I love you and I'm very proud to call you, my hero.
