Those Were The Days
Those Were The Days
Those Were the Days,
When mothers used to pull us out of the blanket.
Those Were the Days,
When Daddy waited for us to hop into the car.
The Traffic Jams,
The Honking of cars,
The loud screams of children,
And the yelling of teachers.
When the full class supported
In the mass bunk,
The Returning route from the toilet,
Became way too long.
From swimming in the pool,
To running down the lush green fields.
From Booking the first Table Tennis Court,
To waiting for the last bell to ring.
It's been a year now,
The Long Days are not worth remembering,
No fights, no bells,
No assemblies and not even wandering.
All we do now,
Is to remember the Good Old Days,
And say aloud,
Those Were the Days.
