This Relaxing Getaway

Wasn't it a lovely day,

When we planned a picnic near the lake.

Accompanied by a friend,

To whom my words comprehend.

Carried all the essentials,

Including a blanket, some home-made food

And tons of giggles.

It wasn't just you and me,

The ducks we fed and the squirrels

We fell in love with,

Were too apart of this Relaxing Getaway.

The song of the setting sun,

The wind that passed through

the homeless strands of our hair,

Too became a part of this Relaxing Getaway.
