The Story Of My Life

The Story Of My Life

1 min

The filled pages of my diary lay open,

As tears dripped and smudged everything unspoken,

My own experiences, both vivid and dark,

Were soon erased, leaving not a single mark.

I wished my memories would fade away so,

For what I had seen was worthy to let go,

The world was cruel, wish I knew it before,

It crumbled me like paper, too weak to stand up anymore.

Never did I realise that I was a bear puppet in their hands,

Doing everything according to their wishes and commands,

How was I so foolish, how could I not have known?

That they were never really for me, I was always on my own.

But this was just the end of a chapter in the story,

My goal was for this tale to reach its ultimate glory,

I flipped the page and started afresh,

The past was in the past, the future was mine to possess.
