THE PEN-A SWORD

I will not put down my pen

And fall into the trap of my own mind,

Who wants to

Rethink what has been said already

And repeat loudly to itself,

What should’ve been said instead.

I will not put down my pen

And fall into the ugly trap,

Of trying to find ways to reverse

That which cannot be changed a bit:

The Past.

I will not put down my pen – the sword

That’s long been cutting throats

Of the virtual daydreams I drew

To help me find what is true.
