The Old Green Garden
The Old Green Garden

The old green garden,
Which was now covered in a heap of leaves,
And dust,
Was a place close to my heart.
I used to come there,
Whenever I was sad
It was like heaven to me,
And nothing bad could happen to me.
The screaming noises,
Of the children had gone,
And the silence was born.
I realised the greenery had gone,
As the smell of burning leaves reached my nose.
The old green garden,
Which was now covered in a heap of leaves,
And dust,
Was a place close to my heart.
