The Old Castle
The Old Castle
It was freezing cold,
In the castle that was old,
We had stopped by,
For a place to lie.
I know the owl hoots,
When you remove your boots,
But this wasn't like that at all,
Because at the stairs itself I had a fall!
I spoiled my own heroic entry,
Just because I saw the cemetery,
My friends always go ahead of me,
For they don't care about the things I see.
When I entered the castle,
I saw a statue very gracile,
When I had a closer look,
I noticed a small hook.
When I pushed it,
The wall ahead split,
And I walked in through,
Without a clue.
It led me somewhere,
I suppose nowhere,
But then I stumbled over,
Which was a handle moreover.
Then I moved the handle back and forth,
Which took me further north,
And came across the idol,
Which made me idle.
It was that of a vampire,
Which I suppose was standing on an empire,
His fangs sent shivers through my blood,
Due to which I ran with loud footsteps like a thud!
We all left the haunting mythic place,
Without a trace,
And then I slept at home,
Like a quiet gnome!
