The Morning Of May
The Morning Of May
It was the month of may
Midnight, and I was eagerly waiting
Like a dream coming true
The eta aquariids!
Connected to Halley”s comet
Time was on slow marching pace
When it showed half past three
Swiftly! I drew wire out of socket
Reached the roof-top with grin on face
It was same roof and same watch in my pocket
But, that day it solved a mismatched case
My thoughts were gearing up like a rocket
“Stars lived between darkness and eternity”
Then, it was there! by 5 am
Awestruck! by the beauty of meteor shower
A yellow streak of burning stars
A tongue-tied moment like a,
Tie between reality and fantasy of an hour
