He is the one who set us free,

He is the one who planted the tree,

He is the one who is bold enough,

Firm and stubborn but never rough,

Truth and nonviolence is what he taught,

Preaching and practices once were the same,

His deeds were worth name and fame,

I've never seen a soul so tall,

Oh, friends! He appears to be the father of all,

The guess in your mind is true,

He is our Bapu.
