On Instagram and Snapchat

We bury our emotions

In our perfect pictures

Showing flawless skin

And perfect eyes

We un-see the hate

And see the praise

Of all the comments

That say 'wow' at your face

We redefined friendship

With birthday wishes on

Facebook walls and

Cake emoji's on Twitter

We are connected with

The whole world,

But have forgotten

The ones sitting in front of us

We have mastered

The world of social media

But lost the world of

Human emotions.
