The Green Hills

My hometown is in the hills, 

Surrounded by lush greens, 

And we live in harmony. 

We are closely connected to nature, 

And we cultivate our own food. 

Our Land is our Pride. 

I go to my village in empty hand, 

And return back with a bag full of vegetables. 

And we are known for rich hospitality. 

We are called Badugas, 

And live in Nilgiri hills.
