The Great Ashoka Tree,

joyous, happy and glee

in the morning breeze,

cradled the baby to appease

in the beautiful dreamland,

in the lap of motherland 

dreaming in his sleep,

the baby is happy,

and rejoicing with a shriek

The Great Ashoka Tree,

joyous, happy and glee

standing tall as a solicitous,

he is great and generous

in his sheltered arms,

in the beautiful open farms,

the baby is calm and peaceful,

rocking in the cradle,

sky too is amazed and gleeful
